This is a survey course of topics ranging from Geology and the Earth’s beginnings to Chemical and Physical Sciences. Students will begin with a study of fossils and a study of the Earth. The course will discuss the Solar System and then turn towards atoms, the periodic table and chemicals. Finally the course will end with the topics of physical science including Newton’s laws, electricity and magnetism.

Science Green is an introductory science course in which students will gain experiences in using scientific methods, critical thinking, and will develop a personal interest in studying disciplines of basic earth, life and physical sciences. Students will learn to develop their investigative skills by generating their own questions, recognizing and explaining the relationships among variables, and analyzing the conclusions that are drawn from scientific investigations.
